We have discovered that coffee and cookies go well together with human interaction. We sort of themed the first week of each quarter/semester with a week ling “Canvas Coffee and Cookies.” We take a small basket of cookies and a thermos of coffee around to faculty offices. It works. They always have questions. They always appreciate the cookies.

The Short Story of Canvas Cookies
Once we made some digital cookies called Canvas Cookies. See them below. They were our new attempt at making something short and consumable. They were based on The Blackboard 57 Second Tops of the Week format. Hopefully we will get them going someday. It is a good idea. The 57 Second tips were sent out each Monday morning for a few months. Worked great. You can see those below the cookies.
Other Cookie Events
We have seen other events utilizing cookies and sweets. This one for faculty was advertised as “Skip Starbucks!” With additional focus on faculty sharing their baking and coffee prowess.
- Can David make a great biscotti?
- Can Keith bring the best coffee ever?
- Does Cinnamon still have candy cane green tea?
The outcome? You know.
