Hi July

I was able to play a bit with a couple VR spaces. One was Workrooms. So interesting to be in the space and flashback to Second Life… I think I don’t know what to think.

I happened upon a nice conversation with Joe Murphy and and others. It was with the Reclaim Hosting “Bogging in Higher Ed” community of practice. I was only able to stay for a portion of it, but how nice to see those I admire out there chatting away. But really, how nice is it to see these good people wondering about all this stuff!

Online meeting with several participants including Joe Murphy.

Then, one day after work I ran further than I have in like nine years.

I am hoping to gather some of the heroic people from the Daily Create for a presentation at the Reclaim Open event in November. I am going to talk about chickens.

Tweet that includes soome very strange image manipulation. It shows an man taking a picture of a miniature person with a floating chicken in a party hat and cowboy boots.

I was able to gather together some amazing people to talk #dailycreate for the Reclaim event. Below are the wonderful Paul Bond, Sarah Honeychurch and Mark Corbett-Wilson. We will also have John Johnson and Kevin Hodgson join our adventure. So far it looks like we will create some kinda web thing and do an informal chat around the daily create. Whatever happens, it has already been wonderful to chat with these people.

Then, as if the 14 was not enough, I ran further. Like more miles than I have in like nine years.

I had another article accepted by the nice people at Faculty Focus. That will be two published articles this year. How nice. The new one is about adventures with NotebookLM and student feedback. I have had to update it as the newest shiny object is well…

When I shared that thing, D’Arcy nailed it.

Post from Mastodon from D'arcy Norman that says, "@toddconaway @DrGarcia robot-generated narrated PowerPoints? This truly is the future!"

I had fun with Mark Corbett-Wilson, Tom Haymes, and Bryan Alexander near the end of the month. We talked about learning hardware, AI, and other things. Our conversation will go on the Talking with Machines podcast, or a newer version of the site they have.

Four people in Zoom Room.
